Sunset at Kanmon Straits March 2022

The Kitakyushu City Moji Ward side of the Kanmon Strait has some amazing sunsets. Check out this ship as it passes thru the straits between Shimonoseki City and pass the North Kokura and Moji Wards of Garden Paradise Kitakyushu. The factories, towers, and mountains make for an amazing backdrop.

THERMOPYLAE is a vehicles carrier (RoRo ship) and was recently photographed passing thru the Kanmon Straits between Shimonoseki City and Kitakyushu City, Japan. Thermopylae is a large vessel, and while not as long as some others, is quite tall. It dwarfed the buildings and other ships and boats it passed on the afternoon of April 2, 2022. The container ship JOSCO ALMA was photographed by Ship Freakazoid as it was passing thru Kanmon Straits enroute to Osaka Japan from Zhoushan China on the morning of January 26, 2024. Ship Freakazoid captured the bulk carrier Daiwan Justice as it sailed thru the Kanmon Straits between Shimonoseki and Kitakyushu Japan on August 4, 2023.
