JS HYUGA ひゅうが

The helicopter carrier made an eerie metallic sound as it passed between Garden Paradise Kitakyushu and So-So Shimonoseki City on a hazy, frigid and windy winter afternoon.   JS HYUGA ・ ひゅうが sailing the Kanmon Straits of Japan This Japan Maritime Self Defense Force ASW vessel's paintjob and construction gives it a unique look and makes it look very different from different angles and under differing lighting conditions. Interesting... And, certainly well planned out by what some call the Japanese Navy.  DDH-181 HYUGA a JMSDF anti-submarine warfare helicopter carrier 関門海峡を通る (HYUGA)  ひゅうが型護衛艦 Ship Freakazoid captured the ASW (anti-submarine warfare) carrier HYUGA (DDH-181) as it sailed thru Kanmon Straits of Japan on January 30, 2025 at around 17:00 . It's passage was announced in advance and posted on a Japan Coast Guard website....

JS SAZANAMI #113 (さざなみ) JMSDF Takanami Class Destroyer JS SAZANAMI #113 (さざなみ) JS SAZANAMI sailed thru the Kanmon Straits of Japan the afternoon of October 20, 2024. It was a pleasant sight to see. JMSDF destroyer escort TONE (DE-234) passed thru the Kanmon Straits. TONE DE-234, a JMSDF Destroyer Escort in the Kanmon Straits  As is often the case with the JMSDF vessels; two of them passed each other in the Kanmon Straits of Japan between Shimonoseki City and the Moji Ward of Garden Paradise Kitakyushu. Every once in a while, things don't go as planned, but turn out way better! This was one of those times. Read on: On a lovely summer day right after Typhoon #10 (aka ShanShan), Ship Freakzoid went to a spot in Kokura to take a look at the bay to hopefully see his finless porpoise friend and maybe see some cool ships passing by. So many ships had been anchored due to the typhoon, so heavy volume was expected. おやしお型潜水艦 関門海峡 2024年8月31日 Well, the friendly porpoise didn't show up. せとぎり JS Setogiri DD-156 護衛艦    SETOGIRI is a Destroyer of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF). It recently passed thru the Kanmon Strait and was photographed from Moji, Kitakyushu, Japan with an Olympus e 520 DSLR camera equipped with Zuiko 150mm lens. The ship and crew protect Japan. We wish them a Happy New Year in 2022. The Japanese Navy has awesome curry and they serve it every Friday so December 31, 2021 will be their last naval curry meal of the year.
