JA01FP Fukuoka Police Helicopter - Bell 412 EP over Kanmon Straits　福岡県 警察ヘリ とびうめ２号

Japanese police boats can be seen patrolling (I think they are just going for a joyride!) the Kanmon Straits. Sometimes, we can also see Fukuoka Prefectural Police helicopters flying above the straits, as well. This is Fukuoka Police Helicopter JA01FP. It is a Bell 412 EP. This was flying over the Kanmon Strait on the afternoon of April 2, 2022. Probably because it was nice weather and the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. No criminal activity or arrests related to marine traffic along the straits between Shimonoseki City and Kitakyushu City Japan was reported in the news. The Japanese police are affectionately known as Kuso-Poli by local Kitakyushites. They have special place in the hearts of many people in Garden Paradise Kitakyushu.

A SUWA - Brand New Container Ship in the Kanmon Strait

  The brand spanking new container ship A SUWA (Flag of Hong Kong) sailed thru the Kanmon Straits of Japan on a lovely Japanese autumn day (November 11, 2024) and was filmed with an antique JVC Everio video camera (Konica Minolta 54x lens) by a sissy sicko with no credentials known as Ship Freakazoid. The container ship JOSCO ALMA was photographed by Ship Freakazoid as it was passing thru Kanmon Straits enroute to Osaka Japan from Zhoushan China on the morning of January 26, 2024.
