DREAM ANGEL a RORO vessel photographed sailing from Moji to Sakai Japan

The day started out hazy, but soon turned into blue skies. Ship Freakazoid was taken by friends to a beautiful spot that turned out to be perfect for photographing ships passing thru the Kanmon Strait.　Garden Paradise Kitakyushu has a number of nice spots where one can enjoy views of the passing ships.

As per usual, an Olympus e-520 DSLR camera with Zuiko lens was used to capture this blue and white car carrying vessel as she passed Kokura, Moji and Shimonoseki on her way to the Kansai Region of Japan. One can only wonder what kind of automobiles were her cargo for this ocean voyage...

THERMOPYLAE is a vehicles carrier (RoRo ship) and was recently photographed passing thru the Kanmon Straits between Shimonoseki City and Kitakyushu City, Japan. Thermopylae is a large vessel, and while not as long as some others, is quite tall. It dwarfed the buildings and other ships and boats it passed on the afternoon of April 2, 2022. The brand spanking new container ship A SUWA (Flag of Hong Kong) sailed thru the Kanmon Straits of Japan on a lovely Japanese autumn day (November 11, 2024) and was filmed with an antique JVC Everio video camera (Konica Minolta 54x lens) by a sissy sicko with no credentials known as Ship Freakazoid.
